Dr. Amrut Borade
Dr. Amrut Borade is an internationally fellowship-trained Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon with expertise in arthroscopy, joint replacement, shoulder surgery, and complex trauma surgery. He is board-certified and holds active orthopedic surgery licenses with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Ministry of Health (MOH), Medical Council of India (MCI), along with certification from the General Medical Council (GMC) UK and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) USA. He has 11+ years of experience in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Amrut has received comprehensive training in trauma and elective orthopedic surgery, with extensive first-hand exposure to all orthopedic super-specialties in renowned SMS Medical College, Jaipur, India—the largest and highest-volume trauma center in North India with 6250+ beds. He has learned various aspects of shoulder surgery, including shoulder arthroscopy and arthroplasty, from esteemed Professor Dr. Edward McFarland during his fellowship in the Division of Shoulder Surgery at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Hospital in Baltimore, USA.
He also acquired training in complex knee surgery, including numerous arthroscopic and reconstruction techniques, during his clinical fellowship program at the acclaimed FIFA Medical Center of Excellence, Centre Orthopedique Santy, Lyon, France, with world-renowned knee surgeon Dr. Bertrand Sonnery Cottet. He has obtained the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Diploma in Football Medicine. After General Medical Council (GMC) registration, he worked in the National Health Service (NHS), UK University Hospitals, where he learned advanced knowledge and techniques in Joint Replacement-Reconstruction, Trauma, and Orthopedics.
In July 2023, he joined Burjeel Specialty Hospital Sharjah as a Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon, actively undertaking a variety of complex orthopedic surgeries in the UAE before transitioning to International Modern Hospital, Dubai.
