Dr. Afraa Salman is a distinguished Specialist Ophthalmologist with extensive expertise in retina and vitreo-retinal surgery. With over a decade of clinical experience, she began her career at Al Mouassat University Hospital, one of Syria’s leading academic medical centers, where she specialized in complex retinal disorders and served as an academic instructor in the Department of Ophthalmology for more than seven years. Her dual role as a clinician and educator has significantly contributed to the development of the next generation of ophthalmologists in Syria.
Since 2019, Dr. Salman has held the position of Assistant Professor at several prestigious institutions, including Damascus University, Tishreen University, and Syrian Private University. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she has also taught at Al-Andalus Private University and Al-Sham Private University. Currently, at Tishreen University Hospital, she continues to excel as a retina specialist, vitreo-retinal surgeon, and supervisor of the pediatric ophthalmology clinic, while actively mentoring medical students and residents in the Department of Ophthalmology.
